Comfy shoes

I have been thinking about treating myself with some new shoes. I have looked at some really nice sheep skin shoes from Ugg shoes. They look to be very comfortable. I have never owned a pair of sheepskin shoes but I have heard that they last a long time but are very soft and comfortable at the same time. I am tired of the hard shoes that you have to break in that give you blisters.

Have to vent a bit

I have noticed that mom's never get a day off even if we are sick. My hubby has a tummy problem so he gets an upset stomach a lot and gets to lay down for a few hours. Do I ever get to do that? Maybe once in a very blue moon but I regret it later because I never hear the end of it. He had his gal bladder out and was off work for a month and wouldn't lift the kids for that period of time but as soon as I got home from having babies I was lifting the toddler and the preschooler and doing what needs to be done. Are there other moms out there that feel the same way? My hubby is not a creep or anything but this is really a peeve that I have.
Thanks for listening.

We are all heavy and muscular?

My so very nice 20 year old brother said that all of the women in our town have this one look. I asked him what it was and if I have it too? He said they are all heavy and muscular and that yeah I have it too (gee thanks!). That got me wanting to look for the best diet pills review that I can find. I really don't know if he was just saying that because he is well my brother and likes to drive me crazy or if he is telling the truth.

Proud mom!

I am such a proud mom. We finally got our tball portraits today (about 2 months after the season ended:( We also got a nice big trophy too. Ethan was so excited! We went to the park and and met the couch and some of the other kids that were on the team and had pizza and let them all play for a while. It is really nice living in a small town. There might not be too much to do here but there are some nice people and I am sure that we are going to run into them all for years to come. I will post some pics when I get them loaded onto my computer.

Trying to loose weight

With three little kids it is really hard to try to loose weight. I would get up and job in the morning, but I am scared that my 2 year old would bolt out the door. I used to have a jogging stroller but not anymore. Now I would need a double stroller anyway...There is not a gym within 20 miles of us so I can't do that either. Here in Florida, I have to get up really early and get exercising because if you wait until 10am or so, it will be too hot to run (for me anyway). Maybe I will try some diet pills, modify my diet and try to do sit ups and such at home when the kids take a nap.

My 5 year old and money

I have been trying to teach my boys how to give foot rubs. Well, my 5 year old got smart and asked to be paid for it. I told him that was fine but he had to do a good job to get paid...He likes to take lots of breaks because it is "so hard". I was not able to pay him right away because I got distracted by his little brothers so he kept pestering me "where is my money" lol. I finally got him a quarter and he looked at it like "what is that?". He said that he wanted the "rectangle money". I was like what? You mean the paper money? and he said "yeah". Smart little snot lol. I told him that 4 of those quarters would be the same as the paper money or a dollar bill...and that he would have to do more to earn it. I am trying to show him what it really does take to earn money because he wants everything!

The right gaming console

So, my 5 year old going on 19 year old just informed me that he wants either an Xbox360 or a playstation 3 for Christmas. He thinks that his Nintendo Game Cube is not enough for him now I guess. I was hoping to go from the Game Cube to the Wii personally just because we can use the same games and the same controllers with it. Well I guess I have that wrong right? Oh well, I guess I will just have to check around and see what games are available for each console and go from there.

Transformers 2

You know, we saw the new Transformers movie. I think it was a great teen/adult film but I was cringing the whole time with my 5 year old and my 2 year old with me. There was cursing where I think that it was just a little bit too much and some visual stuff in a dorm room that my husband and I both looked at each other and were like "Gross!". As a movie goer, I would say it was a great movie but as a mom to young boys, I was a little bit upset. The first one only had one time that it was a little questionable content for little ears so I thought this one would be the same (not!). And I wish that they wouldn't turn half of the Walmart toy isles into Transformers if the movie is not to be geared to young kids:/ Just a warning to mom's of little ones, you might want to see it before taking the kids and maybe just buy the movie (when it comes out) and fast forward it through parts that you don't want them to see/hear.

Have to watch out for the family

My husband is in law enforcement so we know how important that good disability insurance can be. You never know when he might be injured and not be able to work. And he is the big breadwinner for our family. Unemployment only covers 60% of what he currently makes so we would not be able to make it long at all of of that. I think that for any family member that is counted on to earn a living and pay the bills it is a real must.

Finally had the time

All of my friends on MySpace have been asking me to post newer pictures of my sons. My digital camera broke a while back and my hubby bought me a nice new pink one for Mother's day so have been taking pics ever since. I have pics from Ethan going to AWANA, playing tball and Seth's 1st birthday finally added. I feel so bad when I see all of the other moms constantly adding pics of their little ones. One thing that I noticed though is that most of them are first time moms. I have so many pictures on the walls from when Ethan was little (before the other two). I feel a little guilty about not taking them to Sears or JCPennys to have theirs done. I think I am going to try to do that next month though. I know I will have to go first thing in the morning though before anyone needs a nap!

Where did it go?

So where did the time go? We are already nearing the end of June and it feels like it should be maybe February? Am I the only one feeling this way? It seems like the older I get the quicker it goes too. Pretty soon I am going to have to st art thinking about what holiday invitations to send out and what presents to buy for the boys too. But to me it feels like I just went through this. I am not going to complain though. I enjoy having the boys pictures taken for the cards and I also enjoy shopping for presents too:)

Wow! 110?

I am sooo glad that my husband was able to fix our central AC unit. While it was broken, it was in the 90's outside and 87-88 degrees in the house (ouch). Today the heat index in my area is supposed to get to 110! If it was just me, I think that I could deal with it but it is too much to deal with when you have 3 little ones plus a whinny 20 year old brother (hehe). One good thing that came out of it though is that we had previously had our thermostat set at 75 degrees and now we are all very comfortable at 78 degrees. So hopefully we will be able to see a difference in our electric bill next month.
