I love my netbook!

A lot of people don't even think about netbooks when they think about getting a new computer. I have one and I LOVE it! My husband got me a new flat panel screen and I hooked it up to that so that I can have a large screen when I want it, but I can also go mobile when I want as well:) That is a great bonus for a mom of 3 boys that are always on the go. So, if you are like me and usually like a larger screen, save some money and space and get a netbook!

Well, it is less than 2 hours away till the new year! I really hope that 2010 is better than 2009 has been for us. I can't say that 2009 was terrible, aside from financial and political issues it was pretty good. We are all very healthy, alive and still have a car and a roof over our heads, so I guess I should not complain too much:) I am hoping that 2010 will be the start of my nursing classes too.

One great way to cut costs from your budget is to make sure that you have the right car insurance to fit your needs. If you are having a hard time paying your bill, you might want to make sure that your deductible is high so that your bill will be lower. So, my boys got 15 lbs of Legos for Christmas. Now, we are dealing with the issue of making sure that they are all picked up and put away so that they don't get scattered about the house and lost and so we don't step on them with our bear feet or the dog doesn't decide to eat them. I tell ya, it has really been a struggle. I sometimes wish that Santa wouldn't have brought them lol.

Our car is starting to get a little older. We bought it new almost 5 years ago and it has over 70,000 miles on it. With three little kids, I really am dreading the first time that it breaks down on me and leaves me stranded. I have been stranded by other aging cars in the past but not with my 3 boys with me. Calling a tow company can be REALLY expensive around here because we live so far out. I have been talking to my husband about maybe getting roadside assistance. I have heard some about www.goodsamers.com. I am going to look into them a little bit more.

With the crazy economy, if you are thinking about starting a new business, it would probably be a great idea to talk with a good business plan consultant. There are so many things that go into a business that a normal person just does not even think about. They are trained to think about the what if of a lot of different scenarios so you don't have to worry as much.

So, my kids were being such angels all day long. They have been playing with their new Christmas presents and basically keeping themselves pretty much occupied. They only wanted me if they wanted something to drink or eat (at least the two older ones:) It is now 11:40 PM and they are STILL UP! Now they are starting to fight (especially since I am telling them to put the 15 pounds of Legos that they got from Santa against the wall so that they don't take up the entire room.) Anyway, I guess it if finally time for bed.

We live in a really nice neighborhood. None of our neighbors bother us at all except for one house. It just happens to be across the street from our bedroom. They talk really loud on their cell phones...outside...in the middle of the night. Even our neighbors that my husband works with hears them. I know that they would really benefit from a really good drug rehab. I know they would feel better, their neighbors as well as their families would not have to worry about them as much either. They have a new baby too so I really hope that they get the help that they need.

So we got our puppy back in October as an early birthday gift for our now 6 year old son. We love the puppy and so do our boys. Our puppy has started doing his more boyish sorts of behaviors. If you have seen the movie Click with the dog and his stuffed duck, you would know what I am talking about. It is hard to deal with when our boys are laughing about it and don't understand what he is doing (ugh) so next month or possibly February, we are going to make an appointment for our little guy. I just hope that it isn't too late for him to be our little angle again lol.

Recently I was asked to review a new antispyware and antivirus software. I thought that I had seen them all but apparently I was wrong. I was glad to see one that actually does not slow down your computer system. There is nothing that I hate more than a slow computer. We are also always upgrading our computer and the operating system and I noticed that this one was compatible with XP, Vista and also Windows7 as well. I also noticed that it is great for net books which is what I have to protect against malware as well. And something that I found really comforting is that they do not automatically bill you yearly like a lot of the other companies do.

So, last Monday my oldest and youngest had their well child checkups. My husband came with us and brought our middle child as well. My kids played in the cool 2 story castle playhouse that they have built into the waiting area like they usually do and they ended up bringing home the crud like they normally do as well. Does anyone else go through this? I mean we go there with healthy kids to get shots and to make sure everything is going good and then a few days later wake up sicker than a dog:/ I think we actually have the flu. We are all snot infested, hacking and aching all over. Today was supposed to be a cleaning day and I was lucky to get dishes done and 2 loads of laundry washed (only one actually put away lol.) Anyway, I was just wondering if there are others out there that feel like someone goes through the specimens in the lab and grabs the ones with the most viral growth and heads straight to the waiting room to slather all the toys with it (not really but I am just saying.)

So, since my husband is going to have a weekend day off of work I have started getting excited about this summer when my oldest is out of school. I am really trying to find some really good florida hotel deals since the beaches are only a hop, skip and a jump from where we live. I mean we really should take advantage of it and try to have some really good family memories before the boys get too old and are embarrassed to be seen with us. I know it is going to happen eventually.

So, my husband and I have never really had any weekends together since we got married over 9 years ago. It was first his job, then both of our jobs, then just my job and now for the past 6 years it has just been his job that was the problem. He finally is getting Friday and Saturdays off! I know that it is not Saturday and Sunday, but he does work evenings so the kids will still be able to see him on the weekends and we can go do something together as a family on Saturday and to church on Sunday mornings! I really think that this is going to be a great help to the quality of our family time together:)

I am a little upset about the way I packed on a few pounds after having my 3 kids. A little bit of it might be that I am getting older as well though. I have been looking into some good diet aids, but I am a little bit hesitant to put a lot of chemicals into my body. I would love to have a natural fat burner though. I just don't think that I have the time to only exercise to loose the weight that I want to loose. It is a little hard to run with 3 little kids along with you.

So, my brother abruptly moved out of our house about 10 days ago. My husband and I have raised him for the last almost 7 years so it has been really hard one me. It feels like I have lost one of my children. I know that sounds crazy especially since he is 20 years old and more than old enough to be out on his own. He is leaving for Navy Boot Camp next Tuesday too so I will really be worrying about him but at the same time excited that he is starting his new life as a man and will have a great career and get to see the world. One of the hardest things though is that my kids really miss him especially my 3 year old:(

I am so glad to be done with the first semester back at school! I think that I did pretty well and took my last final today. I was pleasantly surprised that I got an 87 on it, because I totally couldn't stand the class! It was MS Office 2007 and the final was only on MS Access! Yuk! I really had to push myself to do any of the homework in that class because I can not stand MS Office 2007. I love the older versions but not the new version at all.
I am signed up for 3 classes this next semester instead of 4 so hopefully things won't be quite as crazy around here:)

One thing that really catches my eyes when I go to the store is the cardboard displays. You can see many from Race Car Drivers to Christmas Stockings. Some of course are more impressive than others. One thing that I have noticed is that a lot of them actually have coupons on them for discounts on products. This can really save you a lot of money when you go shopping. So, next time you are at the store, make sure to check them out.

My boys are actually going to have a pretty nice Christmas this year. We planned ahead and really looked for deals to be able to do it but I think that we have pulled it off. One of the coolest things that I got was a BUNCH of Legos. My oldest son has been asking for them and I kept trying to find a deal on them at Walmart or a toy store, and I was amazed at how expensive they were! For a tiny little tub it was like $30 and that didn't include any people, cars or anything else. Pretty much enough to build a wall:/ So, I found some on eBay for a pretty good cost. I paid abotu $70 and got 15 lbs of them and a bunch of cars and people to go along with them:) I am sure my boys are going to love them!

Air Conditioners

There are several things that you can do to try to keep your Air Conditioner running in tip top shape. The first being is to make sure to change out those air conditioner filters. It will also keep down on the dust and other things that you want to filter out of your home. You also should get your system checked and cleaned every year to make sure that you don't need any antifreeze added and to make sure there are no leaks. They can be very costly on your energy bill as well as burn out your system.

Well, it is the end of the semester here and lots of finals to stress out about. I also have an 18 month old with an ear infection and also had a family emergency to deal with. So, basically that is why I have not been around. I am trying to schedule in some VERY needed blogging time right now though. So much catching up to do! I am just glad that I have all of my Christmas shopping finished:)
